2017/18 Class Schedule

  • Tuition & Payment:

    • All tuition is calculated on a 38 week dance year and is not pro-rated for classes missed due to student absence.
    • Tuition is divided into 10 equal payments:  Due on the 28th day of each month with your first month’s tuition being charged at the time of registration.  For example, October’s tuition is charged September 28th and the final payment of the year is taken May 28th.
    • Leslieville School Of Dance applies a family discount of 10% on tuition fees for subsequent children who dance within the same family.  We also offer Multi-class discounts of 5% for a second class and 10% for all additional classes.  Discounts can be combined and are calculated automatically at checkout.
    • Method of Payment: Leslieville School Of Dance accepts credit cards (set up for automatic payment on line) or post-dated cheques.
    • Account Payments/Management ~  If you are wanting to pay through post-dated cheques, a credit card MUST be on file for every account to be used as a backup method of payment if your cheque bounces.

    • Class changes are expected until September 30th — we want to find the best fit possible for your child and sometimes that means a little adjusting. After September 30th  a $35 cancellation fee is required for discontinuation of a class. If you wish to withdraw from a class, we must receive written notice. There is no reimbursement of fees after March 1st. Classes dropped after this date will continue to be charged to your credit card until the end of June.
    • Costume fees will be charged on November 15th at a cost of $79 per dancer.   If you do not want your saved card to be charged please contact us in advance to make alternate arrangements.
    • Short term courses including preschool programs are non-refundable after the first class, unless authorized by the Director.
    • We currently do not charge late fees for overdue tuition payments, however, we cannot allow a dancer to continue in the class if their account is more than 90 days owing.
    • A $20 fee will be charged for all NSF payments. After 2 NSF payments, pre-payment will be required.
    • Income tax receipts are issued in January of each year. Income tax receipts cannot be issued for payments made by third party.

Schedule and class details subject to change and dependant on sufficient enrollment.

Preschool Age

Going to dance class for young children can be as much about the outfit as it is about moving to music. For this reason there is no mandatory ballet uniform for any Dance With Me or Creative Movement classes.
What matters is that what they are wearing allows them to move freely and that they feel good in it. Leggings or shorts and a form-fitting tank top are acceptable and appropriate for boys. Elaborate costume pieces and oversized tutus should be saved for designated “dress up” days. Students may also choose between bare feet and ballet slippers for class, but please NO SOCKS.
That being said, if your young dancer grows out of what they currently have and needs a new dance outfit, please refer to the information below. It applies to all Leslieville School of Dance students in ballet classes.

It is important for proper training to wear clothing that will allow your teachers to see your body, (the alignment of your hips and spine etc.). A ballet skirt is suggested for all female students 2-8 years of age, as this helps in teaching positioning of the arms in demi-second. Students 9 years and older should wear only a bodysuit and tights to class, as it becomes increasingly important for teachers to be able to view pelvic alignment and proper posture.

A new outfit for dance class is a wonderful gift idea to suggest to a relative for a birthday or over the holiday season.

The fees listed below are calculated by taking the tuition for the 5 month session and dividing it into 5 monthly payments. There are no hidden costs at Leslieville School of Dance. The Session Fees listed include everything your child will need throughout the year, including the purchase and any necessary alterations of their costumes for our year-end performances. Please note that students are required to provide their own uniform dancewear for weekly classes.

We offer multiclass and sibling discounts which can be combined.
Sibling Discount = 10%
Multiclass Discount = 5% for second class and 10% for third class
